The artwork (in English: Life will carry you – just trust) combines a palette of muted grays, white and golden tones, blended in my signature heavy texture and tiny rocks. The deeper theme behind the painting is trust – what it means to really allow life to carry you.

This piece is inspired to to evoke a connection to life itself, and what it means to the viewer personally.

This painting is a part of Kaikki se, mikä tekee sinusta kokonaisen (Everything that makes you whole) -collection. The central theme of the collection is how each of us is whole just as we are – with all our flaws, pains, and joys.

People tend to hide parts of themselves behind various roles, but what if what makes us whole is precisely the fact that perfection doesn't exist?

Sometimes freedom and the beauty of life can be found in the stories, in what we've experienced and lived through.

Everything that makes you whole was showcased in a solo exhibition at the Walleniuksen Wapriikki main gallery from September 11th to October 6th, 2024 with video installation.
