I’ve always been fascinated by the fact how nature renews itself and finds ways to grow over and over again.
And how the same thing is true for us humans too, we go through phases where we must evolve into new versions of ourselves to find a new beginning.
This triptych is reflecting this metamorphosis — where each phase is important, each phase is needed.
I once learned how the cells of a caterpillar break down almost entirely in its cocoon, while new cells then use those remaining structures to build the butterfly. And most importantly, the struggling phase for a butterfly to get out of its cocoon is extremely important — it makes its wings strong enough to fly.
This might work as a symbolic reminder for us humans too, that we are so much stronger than we believe.
